Every business has their own unique challenges, successes and opportunities. I start by working to understand your business strategies, goals, challenges and successes. I'll then dig into your income statement, balance sheet and cash flow to get an idea around your gross margins, bottom line earnings and financial strength. We will work together to understand your numbers, identify/develop key performance indicators, and come up with cash flow/tax management ideas. And you can count on unbiased recommendations and impartial guidance based directly on your needs and goals.
I’m passionate about Entrepreneurship and admire the risks business owners take to fulfill a vision, consumer need, create jobs and wealth while doing it. My goal? To help bring a CFO perspective and expertise around building a strong balance sheet, preserving cashflow and helping drive good profit decisions.
As a CPA, I started out working in public accounting doing audits, reviews and taxes for companies in a the manufacturing, distribution and health care industries. I then went to work for the Fortune 1 company (Walmart) where I held leadership roles in internal audit, FP&A and operations finance. West Michigan is home and I moved back to be CFO of a $1B+ business unit at a large privately held company. I want to use these experiences to help businesses understand their numbers, grow and see success. When I'm not working, I enjoy running, cooking, and spending time with my wife, 4 kids and dog.
